First we need to thank all of you who’ve already done these things and more... Plugs by bands at shows, voluntary distribution of promotional gear, wacking our stickers on your cars, and support in our promotion at festivals. We are filled with a sense of gratitude and responsibility.

We grew our business heaps last year, and raised the funds to move our gear into a much bigger premises. All because our customers told their friends and family about this serious alternative to sweatshops. If we do that again this year we’ll be strong enough to start fighting the big brands on their own turf. Here’s a few easy ways to spread the word. Please pick a couple that suit you. And if you have some fresh ideas we haven’t thought of, let us know!


If there is an indie retailer in your town you think might be ready to carry the No Sweat line, let us know. We can help them stand up against the Myer/Target/David Jones stores of the world. To suggest a local retailer or to become a retailer yourself...

The single most effective way to spread the word is via email. Forwarding info about us to folks who care works wonders!

You can use our Tell-A-Friend feature right now to send a heads-up about No Sweat to your friends. (Take a look to your left)

In addition many people have started to include a one line plug in their everyday emails with our URL in their signature, like this:

Fight sweatshops with every thread you buy? No sweat. www.nosweatstuff.com.au

For maximum impact, use a different font and color from the main text. Feel free to get loose and create your own ad campaign. But no spamming, please! Totally counter productive.

Download and post a No Sweat Poster

at your local co-op, community bulletin board, coffee house, etc. where ever folks who care are likely to see it.

Our stickers are also pretty nice. These should go on lunchboxes, lockers, bumpers, guitar cases, drum kits, etc. Not, of course, in public places where massive numbers of people are likely to see them. Such places would be train & bus stations, hand dryer or towel dispensers in very busy public bathrooms or private restrooms in hot nightclubs or movie theaters. You get the picture. Don’t go there to put up our fabulous stickers where millions of people will see them. And definitely no gorgeous multi-colored No Sweat graffiti gracing gritty grey urban canvases all over the world. None of those!

to anyone who you think may take an interest in what we do. Ask to leave them in shops, pubs, clubs.. just anywhere you think people might pick them up and have a look.


At your school, camp, fair trade fair, etc. One great way students can help get the word out is to walk our stuff down the runway themselves.
